Journalism Society.
As a team we came up with an initiative called 'Revise with JournoSoc'. This event was to support students while studying during the unprecedented times we were all experiencing and the change to studying online. We set up calls via Zoom and, created powerpoint presentations to allow members to engage with the material in a more entertaining way with question and answers. The society was awarded the Neil Rackham Award, which recognises the success of students working remotely in groups.

This initial design was inspired by newspaper articles and was set with the intention to engage journalism students.

Final Design
I completely redesigned the society's social media page after it was inactive for year. Initially, I experimented with different designs, colours and fronts and after multiple logo redesigns I decided on a modern, simple look that would fit the society.
I worked alongside my team to discuss ideas and where there was areas for improvement. Resulting in the final logo seen above. In a team meeting I then presented my ideas and the colour palette I had chosen.

Here are example of posts I had made for 'Journosoc'. In my time working in the society, I created team introductory posts, which made the feed more personal and engaged the target demographic.
Here are also some example posts of events that I edited in Canva, again to fit the social media theme. When scheduling these posts I observed the most active time for posting and used Hootsuite to consistently post these throughout the week.
I also contributed to brainstorming ideas for 'freshers' events during team meetings. I also spoke with the Universities' Journalism department and collaborated on promotional posts. Whilst, working with different organisations, especially student newspaper/ magazine publishing companies about promotional work for social media.
